What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyse shopper and consumer data to understand behaviour, trends and opportunities
  • Use industry‑leading insight tools such as Worldpanel, Circana, Nectar 360, Dunnhumby, Toluna and Mintel to support decision‑making (Full training will be provided on all platforms.)
  • Conduct desk research and support primary research, including online surveys and innovative methodologies
  • Work with the wider Insights team to turn analysis into clear, compelling stories
  • Provide insights that support existing products and new product development (NPD)
  • Help shape the Innovation Pipeline through insight‑led thinking
  • Attend internal and customer meetings to share insights when required
  • Spend time in‑store to understand how products perform in real retail environments
  • Contribute to regular reports on market performance, food trends, category dynamics and consumer behaviour
  • Support ad‑hoc insight requests from Marketing, Commercial and Innovation teams
  • Develop specialisms in specific categories or insight areas over time
  • Become confident using Pilgrim’s Europe insight platforms and tools
  • Act as a go‑to contact for insight requests within the business
  • Support supplier relationships and assist with data management tasks

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivering insight projects accurately and on time
  • Producing clear, engaging reports and presentations
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrating curiosity, learning and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in consumer behaviour, insight or marketing
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Confidence working with data and drawing conclusions from it
  • Good presentation and storytelling skills
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A proactive, curious and positive mindset
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally

Desirable (but not essential)

  • A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Marketing, Business, Data, Social Sciences) or equivalent experience
  • Previous placement, internship or early‑career experience in insight, marketing or commercial roles
  • Exposure to market or consumer data tools (training will be provided)
