National Account Manager – Grocery

 

Role Objective

We are looking for a passionate, motivated self-starter to join our small team and help drive market share for the Vivera brand in the UK. As National Account Manager, your core responsibility will be to build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key grocery customers, with a primary aim of growing our business and category share with them. You’ll be collaborating with other teams and functions both within the business and in external partners (marketing, category management, product development and supply chain to name a few!) to build and execute your strategy. In short, you’ll do whatever it takes to deliver growth!

 

We have an ambitious plan, and this is an opportunity for someone to join the team at the start of our journey and have a fundamental role in shaping our success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery against sales and margin KPIs for each customer
  • Management of promotion and trade spend plans for each customer
  • Ownership and steering of customer level P&L
  • Negotiation of supply terms and JBP agreements
  • Analysis and reporting of performance for the Vivera business
  • Creation of customer specific category insight stories in order to support our growth ambitions
  • Ownership of supply and quality compliance for customers
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities

 

Core Competencies/Experience

  • Demonstrable commercial acumen
  • Able to build and negotiate mutually beneficial trading terms and JBPs
  • Able to interpret and diagnose key performance KPIs, metrics and insights
  • Proficiency in sales related software tools & Excel
  • Able to effectively communicate with both external and internal partners and stakeholders
  • Proven delivery of results in a relevant role

 

Candidate Profile

  • An entrepreneurial approach and drive to own the role
  • Passion for food and the plant based market
  • A curious, creative mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement and building solutions
  • An agile approach with the ability to deal with novelty and ambiguity
  • Comfortable with working in a small team with a flexible framework
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience in FMCG/grocery commercial function
  • Degree level education or vocational equivalent
